2016Professional Photographers of Canada National Exhibition
We’re delighted to hear that the below photograph was selected for inclusion in the Architecture Category of The Professional Photographers of Canada 2016 National Image Exhibition (Salon) held in Calgary over April 16-19th
The criteria for entry into this category states ‘An architectural photograph must successfully define and/or portray outstanding architectural features of a building interior or exterior by dramatic use of point of view, perspective and lighting.’
The Surrey City Central Library was design by Bing Thom Architects. It’s been photographed by many people (both professional and amateur) due to it’s sculptural and distinctive form. But never had we personally seen a photograph that depicted it’s form through the use of shadow.
There were many outstanding images in the exhibition, and we’d like to thank the judging team for recognizing our photograph of this stunning building. It was also honored in last years INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS.
